Just finished Good Omens and it's brilliant! I've fallen in love with that book. I'm currently trying to find some good fic.
Also saw Stargate's 'Prometheus Unbound' last night. And woohoo....Claudia Black.

Happy Holidays, and merry Christmas to those who celebrate! I decided to make an icon post, albeit a small one, just to get these out of the way.
I have recently become obsessed with Stargate. I used to watch it, but only when I was bored, or my mom was watching it, but guh. I love that show!
Anyway, this isn't my greatest batch. There's some really good ones, along with soem real quickies/bad ones.

Anyway, I hope to be able to post more in this journal now (more then once a month at least) and I have a couple WsIP, two original, four fandom (three Harry Potter, one SG-1). I hope to be done with my Bill/Remus FQF entry soon, but it's the first time I've written Bill/Remus and is proving a tad difficult.
My computers also been a tad iffy, so I've been deleting loads of things, running anti-spy, etc. quite a lot.
Anyway, have a happy and non-lethal Christmas/holiday!

I was reading some Harry Potter fic, and it featured ferret!Draco. Now, I'll read just about anything if it's written well, but I'm always a little wary of ferret!Draco. Do people actually think this is believable?
This one was written in which Draco's animagus form was a ferret. I'm really not sure what cannon would turn Draco into for his animagus form, but a ferret? I find that hard to believe. All though they are sneaky, small, and can be quite sly, do you really believe snotty-brat wanna-be-evil Draco would turn into a ferret? Truly, I don't think so. But my opinion might be ruined because of book four, when he is actually turned into one, and that's where the idea sprung.
The thing is, we don't know too much about canon Draco other then he's a brat, he's 'evil' (all though not quite), he's a bully, and quite immature. He really hasn't changed much in the books (with his fathers imprisonment, I do hope he grows up a little and we get to see more to his character, I doubt it though).
But the other question is what would his animagus form be then if not a ferret? Like I said, we really don't know too much about Draco from canon, but fanon has given Draco a third dimension. I'm sure tortured-and-redeemed!Draco would have a different animal shape rather then evil-and-cunning!Draco. Or would they? I'm curious as to how animagus forms work, because if they onle based it on personality, well, people can change. Harry might go from being all innocent, and hard-headed to a more clear thinker and have just a tad of a dark side.
Thoughts?

I'm hoping to finish some fic once NaNoWriMos over (wrote an original fic which isn't close to being finished), and I'll hopefully soon finish off my Harry/Lucius I started awhile ago, and start my Bill/Remus Fuh-Q-Fest fic.
I'm sure to have time, we have about a foot of snow outside and it seems to keep coming. That's Michigan for you.

Sorry I haven't updated in awhile, I friended a lot of people, then like stopped commenting/updating. Sorry!!! I still read nearly all my friends list, but I just don't have time. I haven't written much, little parts of fics, but I wrote an original piece for 15minuteficlets which isn't horrible, but nothing great. It's not real late, but I have to get up early, and I'm a little out of it, so there's quite a few mistakes in this. Guh. There are run-on sentences, and those are (usually) intentional.

Ok, here is my lyrics post. It will probably be added on to later as I think of more songs, and get more suggestions. This may be used for icons, story inspiration, etc, but don't forget to credit the artist of it! Hopefully, every song is labeled correctly. Anybody have any inspirational lyrics? For writing stories, and what not. I'm lacking in the inspiration, although I started a Lucius/Harry fic (like I stated in last post), and hopefully there'll be al ittle plot in there and not PWP. Because although we all love p0rn, it needs jsut a little more than that for me to be happy with my fics.
So anyway, once again, any song/lyric recs that you use for inspiration?

Well, this is just a random post.
I have started writing, just a little! Got an original poem started and a paragraph of fan fic.
And me and my friend Rachel are talking on yahoo, and she was bored, and squeey over her boyfriend, so I told her to tell me why she 'loves' her boyfriend (and one of my good guy friends). She gave me this:
*sighs dreamily* I love Kevin's creativity and raondomness, I love his voice, I love his laugh, I love his smile, I love the way he makes me feel all happy, I love the way that he respects me and doesn't pressure me the way the other guys would, I love his uniqueness, I love his hair, I love his face, I love his sense of humor, I love the way I feel when I'm around him. I mean, I'm just happy to be around him. I love talking to him, I love making him laugh, I love how he makes me laugh, I love how he's 'slow', I love how he's shy, I love the way he blushes, I love how he's him, and no one's gonna change it, and I love him in general. *sigh*
They have been going out for two years, and have not even held hands. Slow enough? I guess we're considered all a little young to be dating, so they're more of friends that have admitted their crushes. And I mean, two years? That is quite a long time at this age, and I can see them staying together for a long time.

Summary: Harry and Draco decide to go out to Hogsmeade, if not one last time.
Warnings (if any): None really, angst I guess.
Notes: This wasn't what originally struck me when I first saw the challenge. That version was fluffy, but it wasn't going anywhere. It was out of style for me, and a hassle to write, so bring on the angst! There is a lack of smut, :( but oh well.

Anyway, just a little RL, but a girl at my school, who was a year younger then I am, and was in the special-ed classes was murdered yesterday. My god. I refuse to walk home now, and that is just horribly sad. Quite depressing actually, and geez, the rumours going around.
Oh, and my dad's friend, who livesi n Florida, had a tree fall on her house because of hurricane Francis. It isn't that bad, and nobody got hurt, but those palm trees can be very, very heavy. And this happened about a week ago, but hey, I just found out!

Add on to the last entry, here's my daily (if not 9 minutes late) rec.
Rainy Day by Lauren (who doesn't seem to have a LJ). It's very short, but I love the ending. It's angsty, and I've always been annoyed by Harry angst, just because he sounds whiny, but hug.
It's Harry/Draco, and wonderfully written.
P.S. Anyone in Florida/hurricane paths: Good luck, be safe, hope you don't lose internet connection too long, and good sailing to you! ;)

Haha, the 'me but from a parrallel universe' is kind of funny, because tequilaandapen is me, but my ranting/over-stressed/real-life journal. Isn;t that funny?
And one, I'm not good at making up names, and two, I wanna be a cult hit! *pout*
Anyway, I think I might attempt to write something for hp100 and try to dispell the evil writer's block spirits!!! Begone demons! Grrrr.

Even more icons. I made a huge batch of icons, so most of these were made today. I've been trying to make writing my first priority, but it didn't happen. I would like to say, one, I'm an angst whore. Two, WHY DO I ALWAYS HAVE TO TWEAK THE ICONS!? I make an icon, then say it's done, go back to it the next day, and add new things to it, making a new icon. You'll be able to tell from this icon batch, some of them are quite horrible, but some are quite good.

Anyway, lately all I've read is angst angst angst! Gah, it's been horrible, in a gut wrenching bitter sweet way. I read Darkside of Light by Maya which is all dialogue. Brilliant H/D, very sad. Featuring DE!Draco, and InAzkaban!Draco. And even a little WarTortured!Harry, Crazy!Harry, and Dark!Harry, but not in that order (well...kind of...). Also read Oscillate Wildly by V.G. Marks (on Schnoogle, don't know if the author has a LJ), and the ending, my god. H/D yet again, slight AU, and it's actually based on a Buffy episode, but it's not a crossover. I wasn't sure I was going to like this, and almost quit in the middle, but then I couldn't quit, and it was angsty, and sad, and I was like awww, mental!Harry and Draco are so cute together.
Uh, yeah. There we go. shoebox_project UPDATE!!! Rawk. This is the best chapter yet! It was dark, and almost stormy, and I was listening to The Rolling Stone's "Paint it Black" and Oingo Bongo (or something like that) "No One Lives Forever" whcih just set the mood, and the Remus/Sirius of it, the Lily/James of it, the Winky/Peter and Kingsley/Frank Longbottom of it! (ok, not quite, but subtext!!!).
By the way, this is now going to only be a fandom ranting journal, I have a RL journal now so never fear!
